How to Wash Your Beard?
Regularly washing your beard is the first major step towards achieving the desired look and health of the beard. It also relieves you from different types of itches, dust, and dead skin particles.
However, before you wash your beard, it is important to remember to always use beard-specialist products for washing and grooming your beard. It is because of the fact that beard hair is slightly different from head hair.
Following is a brief summary of the steps that must be followed when washing beard:
Step 1
Cleans the whole (bearded) area with sufficient water and slowly move your fingers to ensure thorough cleansing with water.
Step 2.
Take a small but sufficient amount of specialist beard shampoo in your palm, and massage the shampoo into your beard for at least three minutes.
Step 3.
Rinse with enough water to ensure the removal of all the shampoo from your beard.
Step 4.
Now take a specialist beard conditioner in your palm and massage it gently and try to cover all parts of the beard. Let your beard absorb the conditioner for at least two minutes, and rinse again with enough water to remove the conditioner.
Step 5.
As soon as you are out of the shower, take a beard brush, and gently comb your beard. The exact time of combing the beard may depend upon your beard size and hairstyle.
Step 6.
Now take a few drops of beard oil (which may be mixed with a small quantity of beard moisturizer), and massage your beard for about two minutes.
Step 7.
Comb your beard once again to give it the desired shape.
Final Note:
Make sure to make beard washing a habit, especially if you are planning on growing a long beard. Following the above steps will not take more than 15 minutes, but they shall add life, texture, and beauty in your beard.
